The Cable Pulldown is an essential mainstream Back exercise, and one that is unlikely to be done at home (unless you are lucky enough to have a suitable home-based cable machine).

When I have a Back day, I always begin the workout (after my warm-up routines) with some Cable Pulldowns – narrow (Neutral) Grip, Wide (Supinated) Grip,

and Straight-Arm Pulldowns (Pronated).

The Narrow Grip Pulldown is ideal for warming up the Back muscles with lighter weights and high reps, before some heavier work.
